Seven partners, each with a name you can ask for
Every client has a named partner and a named manager. These are the partners.
-
Fenella Garside
Senior partner · Leeds · Owner-managed businesses and succession
Fenella grew up above her parents’ hardware shop in Otley and joined us as a trainee in 1994, the year Ruth Shaw retired. Most of her time goes to families deciding what happens to a business when its founder steps back. She is the reason the one-page letter still exists.
-
Owen Mabbott
Partner · Leeds · Private client tax
Owen advises families on estates, trusts and inheritance tax, working alongside their solicitors. He would rather spend an extra hour on a family tree than miss a beneficiary. Outside work he sings bass in a Leeds choir.
-
Priya Raghavan-Hale
Partner · Manchester · Corporate tax and R&D relief
Priya joined with the Ashworth Pike merger in 2009. She looks after corporate tax for companies that make things nobody’s grandparents would recognise: games, software and specialist engineering. She leads our R&D relief work, cautiously.
-
Simon Ashby
Partner · Manchester · Small UK tech companies
Simon spent a decade in audit at one of the Big Four before joining us in Manchester. He looks after small UK tech companies: software businesses, platforms and the people who start them. He is dry, exact, and never happier than with a ledger that reconciles to the penny.
-
Tobias Ackroyd
Partner · Sheffield · Business advisory
Tobias runs the Sheffield office. He values businesses and helps owners buy, sell and hand them on, including management buy-outs and employee ownership trusts. Before accountancy he spent three years as a quality engineer at a forge in Attercliffe.
-
Delphine Okafor-Lund
Partner · Leeds · Outsourced finance
Delphine runs the team that does bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts and part-time finance director work. She moved the firm’s own books to the cloud before asking any client to do the same.
-
Callum Brierley
Partner · Leeds · Farms and rural estates
Callum grew up on a dairy farm near Skipton. He acts for farms, rural estates and landowning families, and spends much of his time on succession and on the changes to agricultural and business property relief.
